Outreach

AT LAKEWOOD, WE BELIEVE THAT THE GOSPEL CALLS US OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF OUR CHURCH TO REACH PEOPLE WITH THE GOOD NEWS. WE DO THIS THROUGH A VARIETY OF AVENUES, FROM LOCAL OUTREACH, TO GLOBAL MISSIONS, AND CHURCH PLANTING.

LOCAL OUTREACH

We are actively pursuing opportunities in which our church can come together to share the love of Jesus and serve our community. We do this by partnering with local ministries who strategically carry out the Gospel mission within their unique areas of focus. We want to equip and transform the community of Lakewood to serve and give within these partnerships as part of reaching and serving the needs of Dallas locally.

White Rock YMCA

The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Since Lakewood Fellowship’s inception, the White Rock YMCA has been our gracious host by granting us a space to worship on Sundays. Because of this, we have built a partnership with the Y which has given us the opportunity to create collaborative local outreach events for our community. Northwest Community Center

The Northwest Community Center in Vickery Meadow exists to aid refugees to start a new life, empower refugees to thrive in a new culture, and invite refugees to experience new life. To learn more about volunteer opportunities with Northwest Community Center, click here.

For The Nations

Dallas is home to tens of thousands of resettled refugees from around the world. For The Nations Refugee Outreach helps those refugees get settled in this foreign land by helping furnish new homes, teaching English classes, helping with cultural adjustment, all while pointing to Christ. Global Outreach

Throughout all Scripture, the Bible clearly declares God’s heart for the nations. The primary way in which the nations are reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is through God’s utilization of His people to make His name known to the ends of the earth (Psalm 67). It is our desire as a church to join God’s mission in making the name of Jesus known to the ends of the earth in such a way that people of all nations and cultures would find and follow Jesus. At present, Lakewood Fellowship does not have partnerships with Global Outreach Partnerships, however, we are fervently praying that God would lead us to strategic opportunities for our church this coming year.

If you call Lakewood home, please be praying with us as we consider our commissioning to reach the nations. For more information, questions, or opportunities, email us here.

Church Planting

East Lake Fellowship

As a Church Plant ourselves, Church Planting is a part of our DNA and a way that we live out our mission to be in Lakewood for Lakewood. Our vision, in partnership with White Rock Fellowship, is to saturate the neighborhoods of White Rock with gospel-centered churches. In 2018, we were launched as the first church plant of White Rock Fellowship, in an effort to further reach the people of East Dallas with the Gospel. We partnered with White Rock Fellowship to plant a new church, East Lake Fellowship, in September 2023. Please pray for East Lake Pastor, Jared Perry, and his family, as they follow the Lord’s leading.
