Call To Worship - Psalm 73:23-28
Prayer:
To be read aloud, together:
O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Song: I Stand Amazed (How Marvelous)
I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean.
How marvelous! How wonderful! And my song shall ever be,
How marvelous! How wonderful! Is my Savior’s love for me!
He took our sins and our sorrows, He made them his very own.
He bore the burden to Calvary and suffered and died alone.
When with the ransomed in glory His face I at last shall see,
‘Twill be my joy through the ages to sing of His love for me.
General Confession
To be read aloud, together. (Words will be on screen.)
Reading of the Word - Galatians 2:11-16
This portion of the service was unintentionally left out of the service video. Please pause the video to read aloud at home.
At the conclusion of the reading, the speaker will say, “The Word of the Lord,” to which all reply:
Thanks Be To God
Song: Great Are You Lord
You give life, You are love, You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore, Every heart that is broken
Great are You, Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
All the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord (repeat several times)
Song: All I Have and All I Need
The Lord is near the broken hearted
For crushed in spirit He does care
Draw near to Him all His children
No thing too heavy for Him to bear
The Lord redeems my life, I shall not be condemned
When we cry for help, yes our God does hear
If we hide in Him, He does calm our fears
We will thirst no more, the hungry He will feed
He’s all that I have and all that I need
My soul will boast in its savior
Let humble hear and be glad
Oh magnify the lord together
Sing his glory through the night
See this poor man cried, the Lord did rescue him
Yes the Lord is good oh I taste and see
That He’s all that I have and He’s all that I need
Sermon: Unity and Grace (Acts 15:1-16:5)
For those who call LWF their church home, Randy will lead a time of communion at the end of the sermon video.
Song: Yet Not I, But Through Christ In Me
What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer,
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to His
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing, “All is mine!”
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
The night is dark, but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Savior He will stay
I labour on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, His power is displayed
To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley He will lead
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave
To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing, “I am free!”
Yet not I, but through Christ in me
With every breath, I long to follow Jesus
For He has said that He will bring me home
And day by day I know He will renew me
Until I stand with joy before the throne
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to Him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat:
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Benediction:
May we be compelled by the love of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to pursue His mission for our good and His glory.
