Call To Worship - Psalm 111

Prayer:

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Song: 10,000 Reasons

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten Thousand reasons for my heart to find

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten Thousand years and then forevermore

Testimony - Jen Thompson

Reading of the Word - Revelation 2:16-17

At the conclusion of the reading, the speaker will say, “The Word of the Lord,” to which all reply:
Thanks Be To God

Song: Spirit Speaks

Your Spirit speaks, it moves in me
and I'm awakened to Your love
You're drawing me onto my knees
and I'm astounded by Your love

You spoke life into my lungs
You are the air I breathe, You are the air I breathe
Still You move inside of me
You are the song I sing, You are the song I sing

You cover me with arms that reach
and I'm amazed by Your sweet grace
You set me free, You washed me clean
and I'm forgiven by Your grace

With every breath I breathe, with every song I sing
I want to shout it out Lord, I am listening!
To every word You speak, I'll go where You will lead
And my whole life will be my greatest offering

Song: Lord I Need You

Lord, I come, I confess,
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart,
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, Oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Sermon: Naming The Call (Acts 13:1-12)

For those who call LWF their church home, Randy will lead a time of communion at the end of the sermon video.

Song: Jesus Is Better

There is no other, so sure and steady
My hope is held in Your hand
When castles crumble, and breath is fleeting
Upon this rock I will stand Upon this rock I will stand

Glory, glory, we have no other king but Jesus Lord of all!
We raise the anthem, our loudest praises ring. We crown Him Lord of all!

Your kindly rule has, shattered and broken
The curse of sin's tyranny
My life is hidden, 'neath Heaven's shadow
Your crimson flood covers me Your crimson flood covers me!

In all my sorrows, Jesus is better Make my heart believe
In every victory, Jesus is better Make my heart believe
Than any comfort, Jesus is better Make my heart believe
More than all riches, Jesus is better Make my heart believe
Our souls declaring, Jesus is better Make my heart believe
Our song eternal, Jesus is better Make my heart believe

Doxology
Our treasures fame and riches made will wither like grass just the same
The things of earth like dust and sand will pass through all our clutching hand
Our hope is found in Jesus Christ, forevermore He is our prize
Reconciled the souls of man, forgiveness from the Father’s hand
And with the Spirit we are free, and soon all tribes and tongues shall sing,
”Glory be to Christ our King and the Holy Trinity!”

Benediction:

May we be compelled by the love of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to pursue His mission for our good and His glory.
