Prayer:
Lord of all power and might, the author and giver of all good things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name; increase in us true religion; nourish us with all goodness; and bring forth in us the fruit of good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
SONG: Psalm 66 (You Are Great)
Come and see what God has done, see what God has done
For every daughter and every son
Oh, come and and hear what God has done
For everyone who fears the Lord will sing of what He's done
And all the earth will shout your praise
And all the earth will sing your name
For you are great! For your are great!
How glorious your name
How awesome are your ways
For you are great! For you are great!
Commissioning of Logan and Cassie Tarbox
READING OF THE WORD – Luke 14:27-33
At the conclusion of the reading, the speaker will say, “The Word of the Lord,” to which we all reply:
Thanks Be To God
SONG: Behold The Lamb Of God
He’s carried all our sorrows and our griefs
He was bruised for our iniquities
He bore all of our shame and made our cries
Forsaken and was pierced into His side
Behold the Lamb of God who takes away our sins
Behold the Word who came both Son of God and man
Behold the Lamb of God spotless He was slain
But death was not His equal, there’s victory in His name
Behold the lamb of God
No jewels upon His crown but thorns instead
Mocked and beat and lifted up to death
Pinned up to a cross between two thieves
The perfect Son of Man was called guilty
Buried in the ground a stone marked grave
But yes that stone would soon be rolled away
The Son of God now stands as glory’s King
His resurrection is our victory
Behold the Lamb of God seated by the throne
Righteousness was His, our sin He did atone
Behold the Lamb of God who’s standing in our place
Though we’re not His equals we share His perfect name
Song: All Glory Be To Christ
Should nothing of our efforts stand, no legacy survive,
unless the Lord does raise the house,In vain its builders strive
To You who boast tomorrow's gain, tell me what is Your life?
A mist that vanishes at dawn, All glory be to Christ!
All glory be to Christ our King! All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we'll ever sing, All glory be to Christ!
His will be done, His kingdom come On earth as is above,
Who is Himself our daily bread, Praise Him the Lord of love
Let living water satisfy the thirsty without price,
We'll take a cup of kindness yet, All glory be to Christ!
When on the day the great I AM, the Faithful and the True,
the Lamb who was for sinners slain is making all things new
Behold our God shall live with us and be our steadfast light,
and we shall e’er his people be, All glory be to Christ!
Sermon: Am I Living It Right? (Psalm 127)
Communion
SONG: Christ The Sure And Steady Anchor
Christ the sure and steady Anchor in the fury of the storm
When the winds of doubt blow through me and my sails have all been torn
In the suffering, in the sorrow, when my sinking hopes are few
I will hold fast to the Anchor, it will never be removed
Christ the sure and steady Anchor while the tempest rages on
When temptation claims the battle and it seems the night has won
Deeper still then goes the Anchor though I justly stand accused
I will hold fast to the Anchor, it shall never be removed
Christ the sure and steady Anchor through the fields of unbelief
Hopeless somehow O my soul now lift your eyes to Calvary
This my ballast of assurance, see His love forever proved
All my hope is in the Anchor, it shall never be removed
Christ the sure and steady Anchor as we face the wave of death
When these trials give way to glory as we draw our final breath
We will cross that great horizon clouds behind and life secured
And the calm will be the better for the storms that we endured
Christ the shore of our salvation ever faithful ever true
We will hold fast to the Anchor, it shall never be removed
Benediction:
May we be compelled by the love of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to pursue His mission for our good and His glory.
