Order Of Worship

Call To Worship - 2 Timothy 1:7-10

Prayer:

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Song: Grace Alone

I was an orphan lost at the fall
Running away when I'd hear your call
But Father, you worked your will
I had no righteousness of my own
I had no right to draw near your throne
But Father, you loved me still

And in love before you laid the world's foundation
You predestined to adopt me as your own
You have raised me up so high above my station
I'm a child of God by grace and grace alone

You left your home to seek out the lost
You knew the great and terrible cost
But Jesus, your face was set
I worked my fingers down to the bone
Nothing I did could ever atone
But Jesus, you paid my debt

By your blood I have redemption and salvation
Lord, you died that I might reap what you have sown
And you rose that I might be a new creation
I am born again by grace and grace alone

I was in darkness all of my life
I never knew the day from the night
But Spirit, you made me see
I swore I knew the way on my own
Head full of rocks, a heart made of stone
But Spirit, you moved in me

At your touch my sleeping spirit was awakened
On my darkened heart the light of Christ has shone
Called into a Kingdom that cannot be shaken
Heaven's citizen by grace and grace alone

So I'll stand in faith by grace and grace alone
I will run the race by grace and grace alone
I will slay my sin by grace and grace alone
I will reach the end by grace and grace alone

Testimony - Jackie Fernandez

Reading of the Word - Galatians 2:1-10

At the conclusion of the reading, the speaker will say, “The Word of the Lord,” to which we all reply:
Thanks Be To God

Song: come thou fount

Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, mount of Thy redeeming love

Hitherto Thy love has blessed me, Thou hast brought me to this place
And I know Thy hand will bring me safely home by Thy good grace
Jesus sought me when a stranger wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood

Oh to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above

Oh that day when freed from sinning I shall see Thy lovely face
Full arrayed in blood-washed linen how I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, bring Thy promises to pass
For I know Thy pow’r will keep me till I’m home with Thee at last

Song: Abide With Me

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers, fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, abide with me.

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, as oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, Lord, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour;
What but Thy grace can foil the Tempter's power?
Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, oh, abide with me!

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight and tears no bitterness.
Where is thy sting death? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes,
Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me!

Sermon: God Provides (Acts 11:1-30)

For those who call LWF their church home, Randy will lead a time of communion at the end of the sermon video.

Song: The Love Of God

The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled and pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure— The saints’ and angels’ song.

When endless days all pass away, and earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray, on rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure, all measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race— the saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky.

Benediction:

May we be compelled by the love of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to pursue His mission for our good and His glory.
